BAA 2020 Officer Nominations and Election Process
Electronic nominations for executive officers will be accepted via online form (which sends an email to the BAA’s official account). This can be accessed via the Nominations and Elections section of from Wednesday, October 14, 2020 until 11:59pm EDT on Friday, October 23, 2020. In-person nominations will also occur at the Annual Meeting on Saturday, October 24, 2020, with the ‘floor for nominations’ closing as a whole during that meeting.
Nominees and those who nominate them must be official members of the BAA at the time of the date stamp on the submitted nomination. Prospective nominees do not need to be present at the Annual Meeting to accept their nominations. The BAA executive officers will contact all electronically submitted nominees that are not self-nominated to confirm their interest and learn if they accept or decline the nomination. If you nominate yourself using the electronic nomination form, it is assumed that you accept your nomination. If you are nominated at the Annual Meeting, but are not present, a letter of intent to accept the specific nomination must be presented by a proxy at the time of your nomination.
All nominees will be announced to the public no later than Monday, October 26, 2020.
